Vera Wang F/W 2012: Gargoyles and Gothic Churches

For her fall/winter 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week, Vera Wang looked to the ceilings of Gothic churches for inspirations. And her models? Gargoyles. “They’re sort of like gargoyles or stone angels staring down at you in the church,” Wang said of the beauty looks.

To complement Wang’s inspirations, Lucia Pieroni of Clé de Peau Beauté opted for a structured yet incredibly simple look. Strong, sculpted eyebrows and a hint of the models’ favorite Luminizing Face Enhancer were keys to the look. Mascara and blush were skipped to keep the face bare and gargoyle-esque.
