Between the 1980s and 1990s, Richard Gere moved beyond his boyish eye candy image to become one of the most charismatic sex symbols of his time. Around the same period, Herb Ritts progressed from a hobbyist shutterbug to a master photographer famous for his nude, fashion, and celebrity portraits.

Vanity: Fashion Photography Exhibition (F.C. Gundlach Collection)
From now to Feb. 12, 2012, the Kunsthalle Wien in Vienna, Austria is hosting an exhibition titled Vanity, presenting about 200 photographic works selected from F.C. Gundlach‘s private collection. Works featured include Gundlach’s presentations of pop and op art fashion as well as images by more than 30 influential photographers.

Irving Penn and Issey Miyake Team Up for Visual Dialogue Exhibition
Acclaimed fashion designer Issey Miyake and celebrated fashion photographer Irving Penn are teaming up to bring you Irving Penn And Issey Miyake: Visual Dialogue, an exhibition that will showcase the synergistic, futuristic work of the two masters. The exhibit will run from Sept. 16, 2011 through April 8, 2012 at 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT in Tokyo.
